Ingredients

  • 500g all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1/2 cup fine semolina
  • 1 cup warm water
  • 100g softened butter
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 4 tbsp honey
  • 2 tbsp butter for serving

Instructions

    Mix flour, semolina, salt, and sugar in a large bowl. Gradually add warm water and knead until smooth and elastic. Divide into 8 balls and let rest for 15 minutes.

    Combine softened butter with oil. Flatten each ball on an oiled surface into a thin square, brush with butter mixture, then fold edges to center creating layers.

    Heat a flat griddle over medium heat. Cook each msemen for 2-3 minutes per side until golden and crispy with visible flaky layers.

    Serve warm, drizzled with honey and topped with a pat of fresh butter.
