Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 3/4 cup warm water
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/3 cup sliced almonds
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon

Instructions

    Mix flour and salt in a large bowl, then gradually add warm water while stirring to form a soft dough.

    Knead the dough for 5 minutes until smooth, then brush with oil and let rest for 10 minutes covered.

    Divide dough into 4 equal portions and roll each into a thin round on an oiled surface.

    Brush generously with melted butter and oil, then fold into quarters to create layers.

    Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat and cook each msemen for 2-3 minutes per side until golden and crispy.

    Toast almonds in a dry pan for 2 minutes until fragrant.

    Drizzle warm honey over hot msemen, sprinkle with toasted almonds and cinnamon, and serve immediately.
