Ingredients
- 600g beef chuck, cut into 2cm cubes
- 3 medium potatoes, cubed
- 2 carrots, sliced
- 1 large onion, quartered
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 3 tbsp soy sauce
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 1 tsp grated ginger
- 4 cups beef broth
- 2 green onions, chopped
- 1 tbsp sesame seeds
- to taste salt and black pepper
Instructions

1Heat sesame oil in a large pot over medium-high heat. Brown the beef cubes on all sides, approximately 8-10 minutes total. Remove and set aside.

2In the same pot, sauté minced garlic and ginger for 1 minute until fragrant.

3Add soy sauce, brown sugar, and beef broth to the pot, stirring well to combine.

4Return beef to the pot and bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes.

5Add potatoes and carrots, simmer for 15 minutes until vegetables begin to soften.

6Add onion quarters and continue simmering for another 10 minutes until all vegetables are tender.

7Season with salt and black pepper to taste.

8Serve hot in bowls, garnished with chopped green onions and sesame seeds.
