Bulgogi Beef Rice Bowl

🟡 Medium

Ingredients

  • 800g beef sirloin, thinly sliced
  • 6 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 3 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon grated ginger
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 cups steamed white rice
  • 1 teaspoon sesame seeds
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. 1
In a bowl, combine soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, minced garlic, ginger, half the green onions, rice vinegar, and water to create the marinade.
  2. 2
Add the thinly sliced beef to the marinade and mix well, ensuring all pieces are coated. Let marinate for at least 15 minutes.
  3. 3
Heat a large skillet or grill pan over high heat. Working in batches, cook the marinated beef for 2-3 minutes per side until caramelized and cooked through. Transfer to a plate.
  4. 4
In the same skillet, fry the eggs sunny-side up or to your preference, seasoning with salt and pepper.
  5. 5
Divide steamed rice among serving bowls and top with the cooked bulgogi beef.
  6. 6
Place a fried egg on top of each rice bowl and garnish with remaining green onions and sesame seeds.
  7. 7
    Serve immediately while hot.
