BBQ Pulled Pork Sandwich

Ingredients

  • 4 kg pork shoulder
  • 2 tbsp paprika
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 2 cups BBQ sauce
  • 1 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 6 soft hamburger buns
  • 2 cups coleslaw

Instructions

    Preheat oven to 135°C (275°F).

    Mix paprika, brown sugar, garlic powder, onion powder, and cayenne pepper in a small bowl.

    Rub the spice mixture all over the pork shoulder, covering all sides evenly.

    Place pork shoulder in a large roasting pan and add apple cider vinegar to the bottom.

    Cover tightly with foil and roast for 3.5 to 4 hours until meat is very tender and shreds easily.

    Remove from oven and let rest for 15 minutes, then shred the pork using two forks.

    Mix shredded pork with BBQ sauce and return to the pan to heat through.

    Toast the hamburger buns and fill with pulled pork mixture.

    Top with coleslaw and serve immediately with your favorite summer sides.
