Ingredients
- 4 slices bacon
- 4 slices bread (sourdough or ciabatta)
- 2 cups fresh lettuce
- 2 medium ripe tomatoes
- 4 oz fresh mozzarella
- 8 leaves fresh basil
- 2 tbsp mayonnaise
- 1 tbsp balsamic vinegar
- to taste salt and pepper
Instructions

1Cook bacon in a skillet over medium-high heat until crispy, about 8 minutes. Drain on paper towels and break into pieces.

2Toast bread slices until golden brown, about 2 minutes per side.

3Spread mayonnaise on each toasted bread slice.

4Layer lettuce, tomato slices, mozzarella, and basil on two bread slices.

5Add bacon pieces on top of basil.

6Drizzle with balsamic vinegar and season with salt and pepper.

7Top with remaining bread slices and cut diagonally if desired.
