- 1 cup jasmine rice
- 300g chicken breast
- 1 liter chicken broth
- 3 slices fresh ginger
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 stalks green onions
- 1 tablespoon fish sauce
- salt and pepper to taste
- fresh cilantro for garnish
- crispy fried shallots for topping
Instructions

1Rinse jasmine rice thoroughly until water runs clear.

2Bring chicken broth to a boil in a large pot and add ginger slices and minced garlic.

3Add chicken breast and simmer for 15 minutes until cooked through, then remove and shred.

4Add rinsed rice to the broth and stir occasionally to prevent sticking.

5Simmer for 30-35 minutes, stirring frequently, until rice breaks down and porridge becomes creamy.

6Return shredded chicken to the pot and season with fish sauce, salt, and pepper.
