Classic BLT Sandwich

Ingredients

  • 8 slices bacon
  • 4 slices bread, white or wheat
  • 2 cups fresh lettuce
  • 2 medium tomatoes
  • 3 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • to taste salt and pepper

Instructions

    Cook bacon in a skillet over medium-high heat until crispy, about 8-10 minutes. Drain on paper towels.

    Toast bread slices until golden brown.

    Spread mayonnaise on one side of each toast slice.

    Layer lettuce on two bread slices, then add tomato slices and crumbled bacon on top.

    Place remaining toast slices on top, mayonnaise side down.

    Cut sandwiches diagonally and serve immediately.
