Ingredients
- 1 cup white rice
- 6 cups chicken or vegetable broth
- 200g pork shoulder, thinly sliced
- 2 century eggs, diced
- 3 scallions, chopped
- 2 tbsp crispy fried shallots
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- Salt and white pepper to taste
Instructions

1Rinse rice under cold water until water runs clear.

2Bring broth to boil in a large pot, add rice and return to boil.

3Reduce heat to low and simmer for 30-35 minutes, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking.

4Add sliced pork and cook for 5 minutes until cooked through.

5Stir in soy sauce and sesame oil, season with salt and white pepper.

6Add diced century egg and cook for 2 minutes.

7Transfer to bowls and top with fresh scallions and crispy fried shallots.
