Ingredients

  • 4 crumpets
  • 3 tablespoons strawberry jam
  • 2 tablespoons clotted cream
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter

Instructions

    Slice each crumpet horizontally if you prefer a toasted interior, or leave whole.

    Toast the crumpets in a toaster or under a grill until golden brown and warmed through, approximately 2-3 minutes.

    Lightly butter the toasted crumpets while still warm.

    Spread a generous layer of strawberry jam on each crumpet.

    Top with a dollop of clotted cream.

    Serve immediately while still warm alongside a hot cup of tea.
