Fattoush Salad

Ingredients

  • 4 cups mixed greens (romaine, arugula, endive)
  • 2 medium tomatoes, diced
  • 1 cucumber, diced
  • 1 bunch radishes, sliced
  • 1/2 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1/4 cup fresh mint, chopped
  • 3 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon sumac
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 pita bread, fried and torn into chips
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

    Cut the pita bread into triangles and fry in olive oil until golden and crispy, then set aside on paper towels.

    Wash and chop all vegetables and fresh herbs.

    In a large bowl, combine mixed greens, tomatoes, cucumber, radishes, parsley, and mint.

    In a small bowl, whisk together lemon juice, olive oil, minced garlic, sumac, salt, and pepper.

    Pour dressing over the salad and toss gently to combine.

    Top with crispy pita chips just before serving to maintain crunchiness.
