Ingredients
- 4 slices brioche bread
- 2 eggs
- 100 ml whole milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 30 g butter
- 200 g fresh mixed berries (strawberries, raspberries, blueberries)
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 pinch salt
- powdered sugar for dusting
Instructions

1In a shallow bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, vanilla extract, and salt until well combined.

2In a saucepan over medium heat, combine berries with 2 tablespoons sugar and cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until berries release their juice and form a light compote. Remove from heat.

3Heat butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat until foaming.

4Dip each brioche slice into the egg mixture, coating both sides generously but not oversaturating.

5Place coated brioche slices in the hot butter and fry for 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown and crispy.

6Transfer French toast to serving plates, spoon warm berry compote on top, and dust with powdered sugar. Serve immediately.
