Ingredients
- 800 g lamb shoulder, cubed
- 250 g brown lentils
- 2 large onions, diced
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 carrots, chopped
- 1 tbsp cumin
- 1 tbsp coriander
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 liter beef broth
- 3 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp salt
- 0.5 tsp black pepper
Instructions

1Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium-high heat.

2Brown the lamb cubes on all sides, approximately 8 minutes total. Remove and set aside.

3In the same pot, sauté onions and carrots until softened, about 5 minutes.

4Add garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.

5Stir in cumin, coriander, and cinnamon. Toast spices for 30 seconds.

6Return lamb to the pot and add lentils and beef broth.

7Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low and simmer covered for 75 minutes.

8Season with salt and pepper to taste.

9Serve hot over steamed rice or with flatbread.
