Ingredients

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 4 tablespoons vegetable oil or ghee
  • 4 tablespoons honey
  • 1/2 cup toasted sliced almonds
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional)

Instructions

    Mix flour and salt in a large bowl. Gradually add water and 2 tablespoons of oil, kneading until a soft dough forms.

    Divide dough into 4 equal balls and let rest for 15 minutes covered with a cloth.

    On an oiled surface, stretch each ball into a thin square (about 12x12 inches).

    Fold the dough into quarters to create a square packet.

    Heat remaining oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Fry each msemen for 3-4 minutes per side until golden and crispy.

    Transfer to a plate and drizzle generously with warm honey while still hot.

    Sprinkle toasted almonds and cinnamon on top. Serve immediately.
